This two-day / two-night course is aimed at those who have had a long break from riding. The course is structured to provide a thorough familiarisation with the motorcycle you'll be riding, whether you bring your own or hire one of ours, together with riding exercises on our private training facility. Once you have rediscovered a good standard of competence and confidence, we will then move onto the road where you will experience a varied range of conditions and environments.
What will it cover?
At the end of this course, you will feel confident and ready to return to the road on your bike, fully equipped with all the skills you need to enjoy motorcycling.
This three-day / three-night course is designed to improve the ability of those who ride regularly, but may not cover many miles each year, or for those who may have developed bad habits. It’s ideal for riders looking to be more stable at slow speeds, more assertive when overtaking, smoother during cornering and more confident moving their bike around when performing checks and routine maintenance. With a few simple and wellpracticed techniques, we can help you make significant improvements to your abilities.
What will it cover?
At the end of this course, you'll have a new set of skills and techniques and there will be a noticeable improvement in how smooth your riding is and how much more confident you are.
The course is run over three days / three nights and is designed for more experienced riders who ride very regularly or have been riding for many years. Riders need to have a basic understanding of advanced riding techniques. The course is also appropriate for IAM qualified individuals who wish to take their advanced riding to the next level.
What will it cover?
At the end of this course, we aim to bring your riding standard up to the equivalent level of a RoSPA pass, the highest civilian advanced motorcycle qualification in the UK.
For those wanting to test themselves that bit further, you can extend the course by one additional day to take the RoSPA Advanced Rider Test. Simply request this when booking.
RoSPA is the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (www.rospa.org.uk). The RoSPA Advanced Riders test is regarded as the most comprehensive and challenging available to the public. The RoSPA examiners are Police Advanced Certificate holders and many are, or have been, instructors. They will grade your ride and complete a written report on your performance. A RoSPA Gold award is the highest civilian riding standard available and the holder will be a master of his or her art. Bronze and Silver passes are also highly commendable achievements. You can take your RoSPA test at BMW Rider Training following a Level 3 Advanced course or Individual Premium Training (IPT) course.
